Dinalupihan Water District management headed by General Manager Virgilio P. Manalili, Ms. Alicia G. Merced representing the Board of Directors, and Commission on Audit (COA) Area Team Leader led by Ms. Josephine S. Santos of Water Districts Audit Group along with Ms. Girlie S. Sanchez, met on an Exit Conference, June 16.

The primary goal of the activity was to provide an audit report for Fiscal Year 2021 that included observations and suggestions on the agency’s financial operations.

The audit team systematically laid down its observations and recommendations, which the agency found to be engaging and informative. With this, DWD is steered towards a better fiscal management for Fiscal Year 2022.

Despite the challenging times brought by 2021, the agency is grateful for the audit team’s substantial findings and favorable recommendations.

To ensure transparency and good governance, public funds must be used wisely and in conformity with current laws, rules, and regulations.

Furthermore, the DWD Management promises to work closely with COA in the performance of its audit and has asked for its continuous assistance.

As DWD goes forward to FY 2022, the struggle persists, with the expectation of meeting the obstacles with resiliency and fortitude.

The annual exit conference is a meeting between the auditors and the client at the end of an audit engagement to discuss the audit findings and recommendations in the report.
